Summer may be coming to an end, but there is still one Grand Tour left to look forward to: La Vuelta a España 🇪🇸

Over 3 weeks, the riders will take on 21 stages and 3,275 kilometres, starting in Monaco before eventually finishing in Granada 🇲🇨➡️🇪🇸

So, here is a brief overview of what awaits 🗓️

We all know that a certain Slovenian rider in the rainbow jersey is the major favourite 🌈🇸🇮, but the battles for the remaining podium places and stage wins could be quite interesting.

And with few opportunities for pure sprinters, there should be plenty of room for breakaways, punchy riders, versatile sprinters and climbers to fight for stage wins, at least when Pogačar isn’t going for the win ✨

What a summer it has been!☀️🚴‍♀️

From graduating high school in late June 🎓to 3 weeks on the road in France 🇫🇷 watching 7 #TDF2026 stages in person. Add Nationals, PostNord Tour of Denmark, a local crit and 5,000+ km in the car… and suddenly the whole summer flew by ✈️

So many good memories, new places and experiences this summer 💛

No more races on the calendar for me this year 🥲 but we are already looking into planning our next trip 👀

This is why visibility of women’s cycling matters 🚴‍♀️✨

Back in March, I shared a survey here as part of my final high-school project, exploring the differences in media coverage and visibility between men’s and women’s cycling, and what these differences can mean for people on the other side of the screen, especially girls and young women 👧🏼💭

The results give an indication of why visibility of women’s cycling matters and how seeing female cyclists compete at the highest level can be connected to feelings of inspiration, confidence, belonging and the ability to imagine yourself in the sport. But they also highlight some of the challenges that women’s cycling still faces.

A huge thank you to the 224 people who took the time to answer my survey and helped me with my project! 💛

The respondents were mostly people already interested in cycling, so the results naturally reflect this group. Even within this group, the findings should be seen as an indication rather than a representation of all cycling fans.

Throughout this post, “girls” refers to the female respondents aged 13–24

Today we went to the start of Stage 12 at the Nevers Magny-Cours Circuit. 🏎️

Instead of watching the race itself, we decided to see the riders heading to and from the team presentation, which turned out to be a great experience despite the heat 🥵

We were also lucky enough to get a few autographs from some of the Danish riders: Mads Pedersen, Mattias Skjelmose and Anthon Charmig. 🇩🇰🧨

Not much beats watching the world’s biggest bike race in person ✨🚴🇫🇷

Next stop 🔜 Évian-les-Bains ⏱️

Today we went to the start of Stage 12 at the Nevers Magny-Cours Circuit. 🏎️

Instead of watching the race itself, we decided to see the riders heading to and from the team presentation, which turned out to be a great experience despite the heat 🥵

National Championships 2026 🇩🇰🙌

A lovely (and hot) weekend with lots of cycling including the Elite Time Trials and the men’s road race ☀️🚴

I guess I might as well get used to the heat because in a week I will be in Pau, and it doesn’t look like it’ll be any cooler there 🥵

As for the cycling… I don’t need to get used to that, but it was a nice warm-up for all the cycling I’ll be watching over the next month 🇫🇷💛
